You don't need more information
You don’t need more information; you need more actual coaching.
For example, with millions of posts about lower back pain and a seemingly infinite amount of instructional videos on how and why you may be in pain and what to do about it, you would figure back pain would be eradicated.
But we know that’s not the case. Why is that?
It’s because the lack of information on what to do isn’t the problem. The issue is finding the right information for a specific individual and constructing an actionable plan that can be changed and modified with an actual human being’s life.
For example, you may have been planning a workout based on all these back pain videos that you saved, but you woke up in extreme pain. What do you do?
You’re having trouble with an exercise you saw in one of these videos that’s supposed to help with lower back tightness, but it’s not working for you and is even making it worse? What gives?
A good coach can curate all the information out there and use their expertise to guide you specifically. Not all of the information will be relevant to you, and a lot of it won't be helpful.
This isn't a promotion for my own coaching, but it's to bring to the forefront the idea that you don't need more information. You don't need to save another article about back pain, or save a video on the three best back stretches that you aren't going to watch.
If you're having trouble actually figuring out what to do, that's when you know your quest for more information is done.
To your good health,
Coach Stephen
